Add a touch of vintage and rustic charm to your home with this DIY Vintage door headboard project.
My friend Brigitte lives in a condo which is #LIVINGGOALS. It’s beautifully decorated with a combination of rustic charm and vintage cali boho finds. Her living space is small, which means storage is everything. Her current bed from Ikea is great. The bed has 6 under bed storage drawers that make it completely functional for her space. What I love about her Ikea bed frame is that the headboard is completely removable without even touching the part of the bed that works. If you pop that headboard off, we have a new blank area to give this bed the style it needs! I removed the top headboard and replaced it with a beautiful vintage wooden door. The ultimate DIY solution to any homeowner looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind space -- and it’s super simple to accomplish in one day!
MY DOOR SIZE: 31 ¾ X 78 ½
*I’m opting to keep my door size larger than the width of the bed, but you can easily cut your down to the width of the bed frame!
